Visit the Murano Glass Factory in Venice. It is fascinating to see the technique of how this ancient glass is made. A 16 days tour visiting Rome, Florence, Venice, Verona, Lugano, Zurich, Grindelwald, Lucerne, Bern, Paris, Rouen, Canterbury, London, Colchester, Ferry, Volendam, Amsterdam, Hamelin, Marienborn, Berlin.
DAY 01 SUN. Rome.-
TODAY’S HIGHLIGHTS: Evening transfer to the Trastevere district.
Welcome to Rome! Upon arriving at the airport, we will be waiting to transfer you to your hotel. Check the information boards in the hotel reception area for details of the welcome meeting with your guide and fellow travellers. In the evening we will transfer you to Trastevere area (this neighbourhood will be a great introduction to Rome). Take a stroll in the narrow cobbled streets of the Trastevere district and find its hidden treasures, such as some modest medieval churches and mall shops with interesting souvenirs. Many trattorias (informal Italian eating establishments) and osterias (inns) filled with the Italian spirit, will be ready to serve you local dishes. Other restaurants serving international cuisines can be found in this area. After dinner we return to the hotel.
DAY 02 MON. Rome.-
TODAY’S HIGHLIGHTS: City tour of Rome. Roman Coliseum and Vatican City. Evening transfer.
In the morning, we will have a tour of the city, which will be a great introduction to “The Eternal city”. We enter the tiny state of the Vatican. The Vatican City is a principal centre of Christianity in the world. You will be able to visit St. Peter’s Basilica. We will also enter the Roman Coliseum (admission price included), the principal symbol of Rome. This impressive construction dates back 2,000 years and will transport us in time so that we can learn about ancient society in the Roman Empire. In the evening we will transfer you to the Via Cavour area, where you will find many international restaurants to enjoy your dinner at. After dinner return to the hotel.
DAY 03 TUE. Rome – Florence.-
TODAY’S HIGLIGHTS: Tour with a local expert from Florence. View from Piazzale Michelangelo.
Today we will leave Rome, heading north. This route has beautiful landscapes. Arriving in FLORENCE, we head straight to the impressive Piazzale Michelangelo. In the evening we take a tour with a local expert, walking through the historic centre, taking in places such as the Ponte Vecchio, the Duomo, and Plaza della Signoria. This city is truly an outdoor museum. Enjoy some leisure time to explore. In the evening you will have time for dinner, as, in this district you can find many restaurants serving international cuisine.
DAY 04 WED. Florence – Venice.-
TODAY’S HIGHLIGHTS: Boat on Venice’s Canal. Visit and admission to the St. Mark´s Basilica. Admire the technique of crafting Murano Glass.
Today we enjoy stunning mountain landscapes while crossing the Apennine Mountains. We will arrive in VENICE and take the boat and cross the Grand Canal to the Island of Venice. With a local guide, we will visit the marvellous St. Mark´s Square and enter the Basilica (entrance included). Afterwards, we will visit the Murano Glass Factory. It is fascinating to see the technique of how this ancient glass is made. Enjoy some time at leisure to explore. Accommodation in the Mestre district.
DAY 05 THU. Venice – Verona – Lugano- Zurich.-
TODAY’S HIGHLIGHTS: We visit the city of Romeo and Juliet. Beautiful countryside while crossing the Alps (lakes and snowy mountains).
We will depart from Venice, travelling to VERONA. When we arrive in Verona we will take a shuttle to the historic centre. Our guide will instruct you on the places where you will be able to walk in Romeo and Juliet’s city – the city of lovers! Afterwards we continue our journey to LUGANO, the cosmopolitan capital of the Italian Switzerland with its beautiful lake. Time to stroll and have some lunch. Journey on to Zurich, beautiful lakes and mountains with snowcapped peaks line our route. Arriving in ZURICH enjoy some free time in the historic centre next to the lake. Here you will be able to dine in one of the many restaurants serving a variety of international cuisine.
DAY 06 FRI. Zurich – Grindelwald – Lucerne – Zurich.-
TODAY´S HIGHLIGHTS: Admire the fantastic landscapes. Cable car included to Grindelwald. Lunch included.
Today´s journey has beautiful landscapes with high mountains and lakes. Breathtaking scenery in the region of Interlaken. We will stop in GRINDELWALD where we will have time for a coffee before taking the cable car up to mountain. We will walk along the winding path which will lead us to the ¨footbridge over the empty¨. Dare to walk along the bridge amongst the fantastic scenery enjoying glaciers all around us. We will take lunch up the mountain (included) before heading back down. We continue to LUCERNE, one of the most beautiful cities in Switzerland. In the evening we have time to stroll around, enjoying the city and taking dinner before we return to the hotel in Zurich.
DAY 07 SAT. Zurich- Bern- Paris.-
TODAY’S HIGHLIGHTS: Explore Bern, the capital city of Switzerland.
We will embark on a scenic journey to BERN, capital city of the confederation built around a bend in the Aare River, with its medieval architecture well preserved in the Old Town. Time to take a stroll. Next, we journey back to France. Enjoy beautiful lake views on our trip to PARIS. We will arrive in the evening.
DAY 08 SUN. Paris.-
TODAY’S HIGHLIGHTS: City tour in Paris. Climb to the second floor of the Eiffel Tower. Boat ride along the Seine. Evening transfer.
Today we take a guided tour to discover the history, main boulevards and the breathtaking monuments of Paris. We end the visit at the Eiffel Tower. You will have the opportunity to climb up to the second floor of this remarkable metal monument (ticket admission included). End your visit with a boat cruise along the River Seine, which divides the north of Paris from the south. Enjoy an afternoon of leisure to explore and relax! At sunset enjoy dinner in the Latin Quarter, a very picturesque historic area where a wide variety of international cuisines await you. We will then return to hotel. Note: Sometimes queues to climb the Eiffel Tower are long. For organizational reasons, if deemed appropriate, the climb can be made at a different time of the day (or Monday).
DAY 09 MON. Paris – Rouen.-
TODAY’S HIGHLIGHTS: Rouen historic centre.
We will start the day by going to the centre of Paris, to the area of the Louvre Museum. Enjoy some leisure time to explore. If you wish, we can accompany you to Benlux, one of the most complete and best-known perfumeries in Paris. At around 18.00 we will leave Paris for ROUEN, with its houses with half-timbered walls, narrow streets and gothic churches. Accommodation in the city.
DAY 10 TUE. Rouen – Canterbury – London.-
TODAY’S HIGHLIGHTS: Ferry crossing to United Kingdom. Stroll alongside Tower Bridge.
Today we will take a stroll in the centre of Rouen to admire its magnificent cathedral and the ancient streets of the historic centre. After this we travel to the north of France. Travelling by ferry, we will cross the English Channel to reach CANTERBURY, the religious capital of England with a very attractive historic centre. Continuing to LONDON, arriving with time to explore, visit Tower Bridge to see it lit up and admire the modern buildings. Time for dinner in one of the many restaurants offering a variety of cuisines. After dinner, return to the hotel.
DAY 11 WED. London.-
TODAY’S HIGHLIGHTS: Visit London. Changing of the Guard. Evening transfer to Soho.
Get to know LONDON on a locally guided tour featuring style, culture and history. See the Houses of Parliament, the River Thames, the Tower of London and Buckingham Palace, where we will be able to watch the famous “Changing of the Guard” (depending on the season). Afternoon at leisure. In the evening, take a walkthrough Leicester Square, China Town and Soho, with a lively atmosphere, theatres and entertainment. Sit down for dinner at your preferred restaurant. Return to the hotel.
DAY 12 THU. London – Colchester – Ferry.-
TODAY’S HIGHLIGHT: British Museum. Pleasant hill scenery. Ferry crossing.
After breakfast we will go to the British Museum, one of the oldest museums in the world. At lunch time we transfer to Camden, a district famous for having one of the most varied and extravagant street markets in London where we can see relics from cultures all around the world. Enjoy some leisure time. At around 16.00 we will leave for COLCHESTER, known as the most ancient city in England. Time for a stroll. We will then board the ferry in Harwich, taking a night voyage to the Netherlands. Note: The ferry used has a limited number of cabins. Sometimes we might change the itinerary, leaving London at 15:00 and take the Channel Tunnel, and spend the night in Antwerp.
DAY 13 FRI. Ferry- Volendam – Amsterdam.-
TODAY’S HIGHLIGHTS: Picturesque typical village of Volendam. Visit to Amsterdam.
At around 08:00 in the morning we will reach the Netherlands (Hoek Van Holland), making a stop in VOLENDAM, a very picturesque fishing village. After this, we travel to AMSTERDAM where we will enjoy a panoramic visit of the city to see its narrow canals, its official buildings and parks. We will also see the technique of diamond cutting. Time for dinner in Rembrandtplein, an area with many restaurants from all corners of the world and near the red-light district with its liberal values.
DAY 14 SAT. Amsterdam – Hamelin – MarienbornBerlin.-
TODAY’S HIGHLIGHTS: Visit the village that was made famous through the Pied Piper of Hamelin children’s story.
We leave Amsterdam for Germany. En route, we stop at HAMELIN, a picturesque German town. Here, many shops and streets remind us of the town’s legend: The Pied Piper of Hamelin, written by The Brothers Grimm. We continue towards MARIENBORN, on the former border that separated east and west Germany until 1990, where we will see the museum that reminds us of it. Then, we continue to BERLIN, arriving at the end of the afternoon.
DAY 15 SUN. Berlin.-
TODAY’S HIGHLIGHTS: City tour of Berlin. We visit the Holocaust Memorial and the Berlin Wall Museum.
Ease your way into the local culture with a guided visit of Germany’s incredible capital, Berlin. We shall visit the historic centre, Museum Island, the Reichstag, the Brandenburg Gates and the city’s magnificent parks. We continue our visit by stopping at the Holocaust Memorial and the Berlin Wall Museum. This visit helps us to understand the difficult situation the city experienced during the Twentieth Century. Time to explore the city. Enjoy an evening in the lively area of Kantstrasse, a district that offers different types of ethnic restaurants to dine in (Indian, Oriental, Italian, German, and so on).
DAY 16 MON. Berlin.-
After breakfast, end of our services.

- The ferry used has a limited number of cabins. Sometimes we might change the itinerary, leaving London at 15:00 and take the Channel Tunnel, and spend the night in Antwerp
- It is a general policy in the hotels that may request a deposit of money on arrival at each of the hotels where you will be staying. This deposit is charged at the time of check in and is refunded upon departure if you did not make any expenses at the hotel.
- The space in the holds of the coaches and in the train wagons is limited and this determines the maximum amount of luggage authorized per passenger on our circuits: one suitcase per person and one handbag. Carrying more luggage than allowed can be checked in at destination.
