known as the Venice of the North, with this 14 days trip visiting London, Colchester, Ferry, Volendam, Amsterdam, Brussels, Bruges, Paris, Amboise, Bordeaux, Lourdes, Saint Bertrand, Carcassonne, Andorra, Montserrat, Barcelona, Peniscola, Valencia, Madrid.



DAY 01 TUE. London. Arrival.-
TODAY’S HIGHLIGHTS: Arrival. Transfer to the hotel.
Welcome to London! On arrival to the airport, we will be waiting to transfer you to the hotel. Later, our guide will give an overview of the tour or you can check the informative panels in the hotel reception area.
DAY 02 WED. London.-
TODAY’S HIGHLIGHTS: Visit London. Changing of the Guard. Evening transfer to Soho.
Get to know LONDON on a locally guided tour featuring style, culture and history. See the Houses of Parliament, the River Thames, the Tower of London and Buckingham Palace, where we will be able to watch the famous “Changing of the Guard” (depending on the season). Afternoon at leisure. In the evening, take a walk through Leicester Square, China Town and Soho, with a lively atmosphere, theatres and entertainment. Sit down for dinner at your preferred restaurant. Return to the hotel.
DAY 03 THU. London – Colchester – Ferry.-
TODAY’S HIGHLIGHTS: : British Museum. Pleasant hill scenery. Ferry crossing.
After breakfast we will go to the British Museum, one of the oldest museums in the world. At lunch time we transfer to Camden, a district famous for having one of the most varied and extravagant street markets in London where we can see relics from cultures all around the world. Enjoy some leisure time. At around 16:00 we will leave for COLCHESTER, known as the most ancient city in England. Time for a stroll. We will then board the ferry in Harwich, taking a night voyage to the Netherlands. Note: The ferry used has a limited number of cabins. Sometimes we might change the itinerary, leaving London at 15:00 and take the Channel Tunnel, and spend the night in Antwerp.
DAY 04 FRI. Ferry- Volendam – Amsterdam.-
TODAY’S HIGHLIGHTS: Picturesque typical village of Volendam. Visit to Amsterdam.
At around 08:00 in the morning we will reach the Netherlands (Hoek Van Holland), making a stop in VOLENDAM, a very picturesque fishing village. After this, we travel to AMSTERDAM where we will enjoy a panoramic visit of the city to see its narrow canals, its official buildings and parks. We will also see the technique of diamond cutting. Time for dinner in Rembrandtplein, an area with many restaurants from all corners of the world and near the red-light district with its liberal values.
DAY 05 SAT. Amsterdam- Brussels- Bruges- Paris.-
TODAY’S HIGHLIGHTS: Feeling Belgium.
Today we will leave for BRUSSELS, taking time in the Grand Place and making a stop to photograph the Atomium. Continuing to BRUGES, the marvellous Flemish city known as the Venice of the North. Time for lunch. Our journey will take us to France. Arriving in PARIS at the end of the day.
DAY 06 SUN. Paris.-
TODAY’S HIGHLIGHTS: City tour in Paris. Climb to the second floor of the Eiffel Tower. Boat ride along the Seine. Evening transfer.
Today we take a guided tour to discover the history, main boulevards and the breathtaking monuments of Paris. We end the visit at the Eiffel Tower. You will have the opportunity to climb up to the second floor of this remarkable metal monument (ticket admission included). End your visit with a boat cruise along the River Seine, which divides the north of Paris from the south. Enjoy an afternoon of leisure to explore and relax! At sunset enjoy dinner in the Latin Quarter, a very picturesque historic area where a wide variety of international cuisines await you. We will then return to hotel. Note: Sometimes queues to climb the Eiffel Tower are long. For organizational reasons, if deemed appropriate, the climb can be made at a different time of the day (or Monday).
DAY 07 MON. Paris- Amboise.-
TODAY’S HIGHLIGHTS: Amboise.
Transfer to the centre of Paris and time at leisure. Today you have the option of visiting the Louvre Museum and a taking boat trip on the River Seine and Latin Quarter. At 16:30 we leave Paris for the Loire Valley. AMBOISE, arriving in the late afternoon, this city on the Loire River is well-known because Leonardo Da Vinci lived and died here, and it also has a large castle and a beautiful historic centre with narrow streets.
DAY 08 TUE. Amboise- Bordeaux- Lourdes.-
TODAY’S HIGHLIGHTS: Lourdes. Dinner included.
We continue on our way to the south of France. We cross lands of vineyards. BORDEAUX, time for lunch and a stroll through this city whose centre was declared a World Heritage Site. We suggest you know the Port of the Moon and the Cathedral of St Andrew. We continue towards the Pyrenees. LOURDES, arrival in the late afternoon. You can attend the candle procession (until the end of October) and visit the places of worship. We include dinner at the hotel for all our travellers!
DAY 09 WED. Lourdes- Saint Bertrand- Carcassonne Andorra.-
TODAY’S HIGHLIGHTS: Medieval villages of St. Bertrand or Carcassonne.
Travelling parallel to the Pyrenees, we stop in SAINT BERTRAND, a medieval village hanging on the mountainside, dominated by its great cathedral. Time for a stroll before going on to CARCASSONNE, a city surrounded by beautiful walls. We continue through the Pyrenees on a journey between often snow-capped summits, and into the small country of ANDORRA. Dinner included.
DAY 10 THU. Andorra- Montserrat- Barcelona.-
TODAY’S HIGHLIGHTS: Catalonia region. Montserrat Monastery. Rack train climb.
Free time in ANDORRA for shopping and exploring. After lunch, we continue to Catalonia. The mountain countryside leads us to the impressive site of the MONTSERRAT MONASTERY, where you will go up the mountain on a rack train to see its fantastic scenery. Following this we will continue to BARCELONA, arriving in the late afternoon.
DAY 11 FRI. Barcelona.-
TODAY’S HIGHLIGHTS: Barcelona city tour. “Spanish Village” visit and evening transfers to Las Ramblas district.
Today we will explore Barcelona, an impressive city right on the Mediterranean Sea. Starting with an informative city tour with a local expert (Note: If the group has fewer than fifteen people, explanations can be given by our guide.) We also visit the city’s historic central area with its Gothic neighbourhood dating back to the Middle Ages. We will visit the area where the Olympic Games took place. We will get the chance to see La Sagrada Familia Basilica; the masterpiece designed by the architect Gaudí. Following this, we include the entry ticket to visit ‘Poble Espanyol’ (meaning ‘Spanish Village’). This open-air architectural museum is situated in one of the most emblematic areas of Barcelona. Enjoy Spanish craftsmanship and discover the architectural styles, traditions and folklore of the different communities in Spain. Take some free time to explore the city on your own. In the evening we provide transfers to Las Ramblas and Plaza Catalunya area for dinner, where you can select from a great variety of restaurants. Return to hotel.
DAY 12 SAT. Barcelona – Peniscola – Valencia – Madrid.-
TODAY’S HIGHLIGHTS: Peniscola, a beautiful walled town combined with a castle on the sea. Discover Valencia’s City of Arts and Sciences. Evening transfer in Madrid.
Travelling south, we follow the Mediterranean stopping in PENISCOLA, a small walled medieval town surrounded by the sea, time for a stroll. We continue to VALENCIA where we will have time for lunch in its historic centre, followed by a coach tour of the avant-garde “City of Sciences” designed by the architect Calatrava. We continue to MADRID, arriving at the end of the day. We head to Plaza Mayor, where we can relax at some typical taverns. Note: If the number of travellers from Valencia to Madrid is low, the trip may be done by high-speed train.
DAY 13 SUN. Madrid.-
TODAY’S HIGHLIGHTS: Madrid city tour. Stroll through the Retiro Park. Visit to the Plaza de Toros de las Ventas bullring.
Evening transfer. The morning starts with a comprehensive tour through the centre of Madrid including Paseo del Prado, Cibeles, Neptuno, the Gate of Alcalá, Plaza de Colón and Plaza Mayor. We then visit to Retiro Park, an oasis in the city centre, where we will see the lake and the Glass Palace. A visit to Las Ventas Bullring (admission included) is next, this is one of the most famous bullrings in the world where we will learn about the tradition of “corridas” in the Bullfighting Museum. Enjoy the rest of the afternoon at leisure. At sunset we provide a transfer to Plaza de Oriente, opposite the Royal Palace, an elegant and bustling area with many restaurants serving different cuisines such as local Spanish food, international, and Chinese. Enjoy a pleasant dinner of your choice, then return to hotel together.
DAY 14 MON. Madrid.-
After breakfast, end of our services.

- Sometimes queues to climb the Eiffel Tower are long. For organizational reasons, if deemed appropriate, the climb can be made at a different time of the day (or Monday).
- If the number of travellers from Valencia to Madrid is low, the trip may be done by high-speed train.
- It is a general policy in the hotels that may request a deposit of money on arrival at each of the hotels where you will be staying. This deposit is charged at the time of check in and is refunded upon departure if you did not make any expenses at the hotel.
- The space in the holds of the coaches and in the train wagons is limited and this determines the maximum amount of luggage authorized per passenger on our circuits: one suitcase per person and one handbag. Carrying more luggage than allowed can be checked in at destination.
